FITTING
FITTING YOUR FRAME...
For this guide it is assumed that you are a Window Fitter, Builder or a Competant DIYer. It is also assumed that you have ordered the correct size taken form our "SIZING UP" page and that you have the necessary tools to complete such an installation.
PACK & FOAM METHOD
This method is a quick & simple method that requires no drilling. This is ideal when the frame has come to you pre-glazed. This the recommended fitting methods for Fixed Circular Windows
Glazing packers will need to be pushed in at around 250mm intervals. This needs to be done until you are happy with the frame position inside so the frame runs parallel to your plasterline all the way round. Also check externally that you are happy with the position. To achieve the correct position you can use different thickness packers based on what`s required.
Once you are happy that the frame is held tightly in place, using an expanding foam gun, fill the cavity between the circular frame & the opening with expanding foam. Leave this to go off based on manufacturers recomendations. Once this has gone off, you can finish off around the outside of the frame with silicone sealant. Then do the same on the inside using decorators caulking or similar.
NOTE: The red X`s on the perimeter of the frame shown to the left are the sort of areas where packing is required.
DRILL & SCREW METHOD
This method involves drilling through the frame & screwing through into the opening. This the recommended fitting methods for Top Hung Opening Circular Windows & Pivot Opening Circular Windows.

Once you are happy that the frame is held tightly in place, drill through the inside of the frame through to the brickwork at an appropriate fixing point. Use the correct drills for the fixings you are using. We recommend a Spax style fitting.
Once the frame is fixed into place, using an expanding foam gun, fill the cavity between the circular frame & the opening with expanding foam.
The drill shows where fixing is required.
FITTING WITH WINDOW FIXING STRAPS
If you do not want to drill through the frame but the design requires a screw fixing then an alternative is to use window fixing straps to fit Rehau profile. This method will follow the same steps as above apart from you won`t drill through the frame. Follow the manufacturers fitting guidlines when fitting with window fixing brackets / straps.
