SIZING UP
SIZING UP YOUR FRAME
DIAMETER REQUIRED?
When measuring your circular opening, always work from the external brickwork. Take a series of measurements as shown to the left to determine the opening is pretty much a circle. If this varies 2-4mm this won`t be an issue. The diagram to the left shows points at which you should check the sizes.
Once you know your Brick to Brick opening dimensions, to get your required frame size you simply knock off 10-15mm off the size you have measured.
For example: If you measure your brick to brick opening sizes at 600mm then you would order a circle at 590mm.
As above you now know the size of your opening, so you just need to decide which size increment to order. If the size required is listed then simply order that. If the size required is in between sizes, then simply order the next size up and state in the notes the actual size you require.
SIZING UP YOUR GLASS
If you are ordering your frame unglazed so that you can get your own glass you can find out your glass size required by using the following calculations...
FIXED CIRCULAR WINDOWS
From the Diameter frame that you have ordered, deduct 74mm from the size and this will be the diameter that you need to order your glass.
For Example: Your circle is 590mm Overall Diameter - 74mm = 516mm is the diameter you need to order your glass at.
All glass will need to be 28mm overall thickness.
TOP HUNG OPENING CIRCULAR WINDOWS
From the Diameter frame that you have ordered, deduct 170mm from the size and this will be the diameter that you need to order your glass.
For Example: Your circle is 590mm Overall Diameter - 170mm = 420mm is the diameter you need to order your glass at.
All glass will need to be 28mm overall thickness.
